ABOUT
Fay always enjoyed writing when she was a child but it was always just a hobby. Her first fill blown novel attempt happened when she was a teenager but it fell to wayside through education and pursuing her wildlife research dreams. Then, after living in Malawi in 2019, she found writing again as a way to cope with the reverse culture shock when she moved back to the UK. She decided it was something she was determined to finish and so 'Of Light and Leaves' was born.Originally from Acomb, a village in the Northumbrian countryside, in the North-East of England, she was always a lover of faeries and dragons. Imagining adventures as she explored the forests and hills of her home. Her thirst for adventure has taken her across the world, living in two African countries and now she lives in Kyoto, Japan. This is where she is studying for her PhD degree at the University of Kyoto, specialising in bat ecology and conservation.
